SCREW-IN GROUND ANCHORS

The screw-in ground anchor, invented in the Australian outback. Set up faster, hold ground harder.

GroundGrabba came out of an Australian camping problem: David Levine spent fifteen minutes per stake yanking 3-foot rebar out of the desert at Burning Man. So he and his partner Susan Sparkes-Young built the alternative — a screw-in ground anchor you drive in with a cordless drill. Founded on the east coast of Australia and now shipping worldwide, GroundGrabba anchors hold tents, canopies, and shelters down in sand, soft ground, and conditions where standard stakes give up.

  • Founded by David Levine and Susan Sparkes-Young
  • Origin story — Australian outback and Burning Man
  • Screw-in ground anchors driven with a cordless drill
  • Built for sand, soft ground, and high-wind conditions
  • Anchors tents, canopies, and shelters faster than traditional stakes

Shopping with SRO
How long does shipping take?

Most orders process within 1–3 business days from our warehouse. From there: 5–7 business days economy, 2–3 business days expedited, or overnight if you need it fast. Free economy shipping on orders over $150 (contiguous US). Alaska, Hawaii, and Pro Eagle / freight items are quoted at checkout. You’ll get a tracking number and link the moment your order ships.

What’s your return policy?

30 days from the day your order arrives. Gear has to come back unused, with all original tags, stickers, and packaging intact. For standard items we’ll send a prepaid return label and deduct return shipping from your refund. Oversized or freight returns are on you, unless the item showed up damaged, defective, or wrong — in which case we cover it.

Refunds hit your original payment method within 10 business days of approval.

What can’t I return?

Final-sale items, gift cards, food and drink products, personal-care items, anything customized or engraved, briefs (hygiene), and hazardous materials. If you’re not sure whether something qualifies, email us before you order — we’ll tell you straight.

Do you ship outside the contiguous US?

Yes. Alaska, Hawaii, and US territories ship on freight-quoted rates calculated after checkout. International orders are available worldwide at variable rates; duties and import fees are the customer’s responsibility. EU customers get a 14-day cancellation window per EU consumer law, on top of our standard return policy.

My package arrived damaged — what now?

Email info@stayreadyoutdoors.com within 7 days of delivery with your order number and clear photos of the damage (product + packaging). We’ll replace, refund, or ship a return label on us — no back-and-forth. Damaged, defective, or wrong-item claims never cost you shipping.

Can I talk to a human before buying?

Yes. Email info@stayreadyoutdoors.com — we answer every message ourselves, usually within a few hours during business days. We carry this gear, we use this gear, and we’d rather talk you out of a kit that doesn’t fit your mission than sell you the wrong one.

Do you offer a military/first-responder discount?

Yes. Active-duty and veteran military, police, fire, EMS, and medical first responders get 10% off every order. Verify through GovX at checkout — one-time, secure, and reusable across thousands of brands. Discount applies automatically once you’re verified.

IMPORTANT USE NOTES

If the ground is very hard you'll probably need to use a cordless drill. When you do remember to follow safety instructions and take it slowly.

Read the disclaimer below and follow all safety instructions Screw your GroundGrabba through the teardrop hole in the HookWasher Screw or snap/clip the carabiner onto the GroundGrabba so it will sit under the HookWasher Insert (screw) the GroundGrabba into the ground Slip the loop end of the cable onto the carabineer then screw up the carabiner gate Snap/clip the other end of the cable to your dogs harness

❌ Do not use in grounds where there are underground services such as but not limited to: electricity, gas, phone, data, water.

❌ Do not use GroundGrabba products for any other purpose other than ground anchoring.

❌ Not for timber, concrete, rock, bitumen, hot mix, tiles, or hard large rocky grounds.

Misuse or abuse of GroundGrabba products can lead to injury or worse to the user or bystanders. Not to be used with mains powered drills. When using battery drills please refer to the drill manufacturers warnings and safety instructions prior to use with GroundGrabba products. Only use GroundGrabba products for their intended purpose of ground anchoring things such as tents and shade canopies. Always hold your drill firmly with both hands and use the inside of your legs as a drill guide with the drill handle in between your legs to help prevent torque twisting wrist or other injury. Always start your drill on the lowest torque setting. Use a good quality high torque drill or impact wrench. For hard or extremely hard grounds we recommend pre drilling a minimum of a 1/2" pilot hole to help with insertion. GroundGrabba Lites are only for soft loose grounds. Some grounds will be impenetrable. Use the correct GroundGrabba for the job. The GG Pro (12") are not for loads in soft sand.

GroundGrabba is made to last! Every GroundGrabba steel product comes with a Lifetime Replacement Warranty against breakage or manufacturer defects . If you ever encounter a problem with your GroundGrabba Steel Pro products, simply let us know and we’ll replace it immediately — no questions asked.*

The GroundGrabba Lite comes with a 12 month manufacturers defect replacement warranty.
