About Hip & Waist Packs

Hip & Waist Packs — Hands-Free Carry on the Move

Hip and waist packs put your most-used gear within reach without the full commitment of a backpack. Padded belts, weight on the hips, fast access to phones, water, snacks, and pocket essentials — built for trail running, light hiking, EDC, and any application where a backpack is overkill.

Modern hip packs aren't fanny packs

The current generation of hip packs is engineered for hard outdoor use — padded waist belts, water-resistant fabrics, MOLLE webbing for modular attachment, and capacity ranges from sub-liter to multi-liter for day-hike loads.

Where they fit in the carry system

Hip packs complement larger systems. Run one alongside a Daypack for fast-access items, swap to a hip-only setup for short missions, or stack Belt Pouches on the waist belt for modular loadouts.

Use cases

  • Trail running with water, gels, and phone access
  • Day hikes when a daypack is too much
  • Urban EDC for cities where backpacks aren't ideal
  • Sling-bag alternative for travel and short missions

Lighter than a pack. More than just a pocket.
