Pack categories by mission

Size and capacity

Day pack (20-30L) covers an EDC overnight. 3-day pack (30-50L) covers most weekend trips and short bug-out scenarios. Expedition pack (50-80L+) covers multi-day backcountry and extended emergency setups. Match the volume to the days you'll actually carry — most users overbuy on capacity.
