Micro Lock Picking Kit: Micro Size EDC Lock Pick Set
A full raking set reduced to the footprint of a credit card corner — multiple pick profiles plus tension, packaged in a micro tin.
Where a single rake handles the easy locks, a set gives you options when the first profile does not walk the pins. Different wave and diamond geometries cover a far wider range of pin tumbler configurations, and the tin keeps them together and quiet in a pocket.
Intended for locksmiths, security professionals, and law-abiding owners working their own locks. Lock pick possession laws vary by state — know yours before carrying.
"A prudent person foresees danger ahead and takes precautions. The simpleton goes blindly on and suffers the consequences. - Proverbs 27:12"

FLATPACK EDC TOOLS
Wallet-sized survival tools, designed in Texas, made in the USA.
Grim Workshop started on a folding table at a Texas farmers market, where the founders — a tradesman, a knifemaker, an artist, a rancher, a farmer, and a mother — tested prototype EDC tools with their neighbors before scaling up. A decade later, every steel tool is still designed on a 5th-generation Texas homestead and built in the USA in small batches. Their flatpack survival cards, dog tag tools, and micro tools come in at roughly 1mm thick — meant to live in a wallet, dog tag chain, or keychain until the day you actually need them.

Product-specific questions on the left. Shopping with SRO on the right. Both open-ended — hit us if we missed one.
Is it legal for me to own lock picks?
In most US states, yes — possession is legal and it is intent that matters. But several states treat possession itself as evidence, and a few require a locksmith licence. Laws differ meaningfully by state and by city, and they change. Check your own jurisdiction before you buy or carry, and only ever work locks you own or have written permission to open.
Are these micro tools reusable, or single use?
Reusable. Grim Workshop tools use their Original Reusable Tool Retention System — the tool pops out of its backing card, gets used, and snaps back in for storage. Nothing is destroyed on removal, so a micro tool stays organised in your kit rather than becoming a loose piece of metal at the bottom of a pocket.
How do you actually carry something this small?
Most people run them on a zipper pull or keyring using the included clip. They also sit flat in a wallet, inside an Altoids-style tin, behind a patch, or woven into a paracord bracelet. The whole point of the flat profile is that it does not print and does not add bulk, so it gets carried every day instead of being left at home.
Where are these made?
Designed in Texas and manufactured in the United States from domestic stainless steel. Grim Workshop is a family-owned shop, not a rebrander — the tooling, the steel, and the assembly are all domestic.
How long does shipping take?
Most orders process within 1–3 business days from our warehouse. From there: 5–7 business days economy, 2–3 business days expedited, or overnight if you need it fast. Free economy shipping on orders over $150 (contiguous US). Alaska, Hawaii, and Pro Eagle / freight items are quoted at checkout. You’ll get a tracking number and link the moment your order ships.
What’s your return policy?
30 days from the day your order arrives. Gear has to come back unused, with all original tags, stickers, and packaging intact. For standard items we’ll send a prepaid return label and deduct return shipping from your refund. Oversized or freight returns are on you, unless the item showed up damaged, defective, or wrong — in which case we cover it.
Refunds hit your original payment method within 10 business days of approval.
What can’t I return?
Final-sale items, gift cards, food and drink products, personal-care items, anything customized or engraved, briefs (hygiene), and hazardous materials. If you’re not sure whether something qualifies, email us before you order — we’ll tell you straight.
Do you ship outside the contiguous US?
Yes. Alaska, Hawaii, and US territories ship on freight-quoted rates calculated after checkout. International orders are available worldwide at variable rates; duties and import fees are the customer’s responsibility. EU customers get a 14-day cancellation window per EU consumer law, on top of our standard return policy.
My package arrived damaged — what now?
Email info@stayreadyoutdoors.com within 7 days of delivery with your order number and clear photos of the damage (product + packaging). We’ll replace, refund, or ship a return label on us — no back-and-forth. Damaged, defective, or wrong-item claims never cost you shipping.
Can I talk to a human before buying?
Yes. Email info@stayreadyoutdoors.com — we answer every message ourselves, usually within a few hours during business days. We carry this gear, we use this gear, and we’d rather talk you out of a kit that doesn’t fit your mission than sell you the wrong one.
Do you offer a military/first-responder discount?
Yes. Active-duty and veteran military, police, fire, EMS, and medical first responders get 10% off every order. Verify through GovX at checkout — one-time, secure, and reusable across thousands of brands. Discount applies automatically once you’re verified.
