About Holsters

Holsters for EDC & Field Carry

Inside-the-waistband (IWB), outside-the-waistband (OWB), and field carry options for daily and tactical use. The three things that matter in a holster: retention, accessibility, and fit — and the right answer is different for every carrier.

Carry position fundamentals

IWB tucks the firearm inside the pants for concealment — most concealable, requires holsters built for skin contact and sweat exposure. OWB rides outside the belt for faster access and more comfort — easier to draw from, harder to hide. Appendix, hip, and small-of-back positions each have trade-offs in concealment, draw speed, and seated comfort.

Material choices

Kydex retains shape, allows fast re-holster, and lasts indefinitely — but transmits more shape through clothing. Leather molds to the firearm over time, hides better against the body, but loses retention as it breaks in. Hybrid Kydex-and-leather designs split the difference.

Pair with the full carry system

A holster is one piece of a carry system. Pair with EDC/CCW Belts — a quality belt is non-negotiable, Kore Essentials Belts for ratchet-style adjustment, and Firearm Equipment for the broader category.

Carry comfortably. Draw cleanly. Train often.
