The maintenance cycle
After every range session: bore brush, patches, solvent, oil the rails and slide, wipe down exterior. Between sessions: light oil maintenance to prevent surface oxidation. Annual deep clean: disassembly, full solvent immersion of action parts, replacement of springs and small parts as needed.
