Snakestaff ETQ: Everyday Carry, Everyday Prepared

ETQ Bundle, designed to handle both torso and limb trauma with ease. This everyday carry IFAK includes NAR wound-packing gauze and the game-changing ETQ (Everyday Tourniquet) from Snake Staff Systems, revolutionizing how you respond to bleeding control. This compact, portable kit is perfect for personal protection, tactical use, or low-visibility operations. Developed in collaboration with North American Rescue, this kit provides tried-and-true trauma supplies trusted by professionals.

Why the ETQ is Game-Changing: The ETQ (Everyday Tourniquet) is a breakthrough in portable, life-saving equipment. Unlike traditional windlass tourniquets, the ETQ is smaller, lighter, and faster to apply, with a sleek and compact design that fits into your pocket without adding bulk. The ETQ utilizes a strap and buckle system, allowing you to apply it one-handed under high stress, making it easier and more intuitive than a windlass tourniquet. Its minimalist design reduces the risk of user error and ensures rapid bleeding control, providing immediate life-saving intervention in critical situations.

Key Differences:

  • Compact & Lightweight: The ETQ is 60% smaller than a traditional windlass tourniquet, making it easy to carry every day.
  • Quick Application: The intuitive design allows rapid one-handed application in as little as 10 seconds.
  • Concealable: Its slim profile fits into pockets or smaller pouches, making it ideal for EDC, concealed carry, and tactical operations.
  • Durability: Made from high-strength materials, the ETQ is designed for durability and reliability in the field.

Key Features:

  • Essential Trauma Response: Includes NAR wound-packing gauze, dual Hyfin Compact Chest Seals, and the innovative ETQ for fast, easy, and effective tourniquet application.
  • Compact & Discreet: Designed for low-profile carry in jeans, fanny packs, duty pants, or plate carriers.
  • Battlefield Tested: All components have been tested and used by professionals, ensuring life-saving performance.

What's Included:

  • 1x NAR Medical Gloves
  • 1x Wound Packing Gauze for core trauma
  • 2x Hyfin Compact Chest Seals (entrance & exit wounds)
  • 1x ETQ (Everyday Tourniquet)

Applications:

  • Fits in jeans, duty pants, plate carriers, and rifle mag pouches, perfect for military, law enforcement, or civilian use.

Note:

  • The ETQ’s unique design makes it easy to carry without compromising on life-saving capability, making it a must-have for any trauma response. Pair it with a larger IFAK for complete preparedness. The packaging may not remain airtight during shipping due to elevation changes.

Commonly Asked Questions

PLEASE READ THIS FIRST BEFORE EMAILING US!

Is the ETQ wide enough?

If you cut open the most widely used TQ by LE and Militaries around the world you’ll find that it’s only a 1” wide piece of inner webbing that’s doing the constricting. The outer 1.5” sleeve does not constrict. Don’t believe us, try tightening one of those on a foam roller next to the ETQ™ for 30 min. You’ll see they leave the same imprint. 1” wide.

1” has been good enough to stop the bleed for years. If you want a wider TQ, take a look out our ETQ Wide™

What kind of testing was performed?

The ETQ™ and ETQ Wide™ have been proven to cut off blood flow using doppler and ultrasound at a level 5 trauma unit. We went through extensive testing of its durability and windlass strength in extreme weather conditions. Watch the Torture Test Here.

Does the ETQ™ and ETQ Wide™ work on children and K9’s?

We kept small diameter limbs in mind during the design process. It can constrict down to 1” diameter, which is significantly smaller than other TQ’s, making it a great option for children and dogs.

Is the ETQ CoTCCC recommended?

Contrary to popular belief, manufacturers cannot submit tourniquets to the Committee of Tactical Combat Casualty Care (CoTCCC) for review whenever they want. Instead, CoTCCC organizes review sessions at their choosing. CoTCCC has only done two TQ reviews in the last 20 years, the most recent of which was in 2019.

Therefore, the ETQ and ETQ Wide have not yet been reviewed by the CoTCCC.

We’ve been in regular contact with CoTCCC members however, there is no indication that another TQ review is happening any time soon. In fact, there are indications that CoTCCC will no longer be doing TQ reviews at all.

In lieu of this we’re currently working with several universities to conduct independent, published, clinical trials on our ETQs however none of them have concluded at the moment.

We’ve also done numerous color doppler ultrasound tests, some of which are posted on the “Videos” tab on our website.

We will continue to pursue independent, third-party testing and publish the data as it becomes available, so customers can make their own informed decisions.

Will you offer different colors?

Not at this time but in the future we will have other color options to be used for trainers.

Warranty:

While tourniquets are inherently a one-time use item we stand behind our product. ETQ’s come with a lifetime warranty covering any manufacturing defects. This does not include repeated use as a trainer. Contact us for warranty and returns.

Introducing the Everyday Carry Tourniuqet. ETQ™

The patent pending ETQ™ is compact, yet effective, making it easy to have on hand. Think of our ETQ™ as the SIG 365® of TQ’s: Both are small and designed for carry and concealment.
